Replaced old cast iron pipes for sewage

Pedros is very professional and did an outstanding job at my six unit rental property. The work involved replacing very old cast iron sewage pipes in the basement that many other plumbers refused to do because of the complexity of the job. The job came out perfect and I will be using him from now on for all my plumbing needs. He is very professional!! I plan on using him for all my rental properties.

If you're in the Somerville area, call Petros. I don't want to share him, but you'll be happy I did.

My only hesitation about writing this review is I don’t want Petros to become so busy he doesn’t have time for me! But nonetheless, he deserves an awesome review. Our latest dilemma….

Spent the last 24 hours wrangling with frozen pipes. Nothing we tried (hair dryers, space heaters, cranking the heat to 90, heating coils for the basement pipes, etc.) did the trick. Turns out the culprit was a frozen pipe behind one of the walls that we didn’t have access to.

Called Petros around 9am today and he was here before noon, despite a long list of customers dealing with the same issue. He got the thaw machine hooked up and had the issue resolved in 5 minutes. He rushed over and dealt with it before any pipes burst, which could have resulted in thousands of dollars worth of damage. This is the third time Petros has pulled through for me in an emergency situation (first was a hot water heater that blew, second was for an emergency toilet repair, and now the frozen pipe situation). He even joked that he’s visited so often that my fiance will think there’s some hanky-panky going on!

Will definitely be filing his info away for the future!

Needed someone to come out and fix a detached vent hood for my water boiler. Petros was able to come out and fix it that very afternoon. Super nice guy. Chatted with me about my steam heating system and provided some recommendations to help optimize efficiency.

We've hired Petros for numerous jobs around the house

Each time I’m more and more impressed. We had a emergency leak he came out with in 10 minutes on a Sunday explained everything very clearly and gave very fair price. Really really nice guy really honest and fair work.

This is not the first time I used Floros plumbing....

I had my water heater replaced last night at 8:30 PM, and they were able to get the job done quickly and efficiently. The best part was that they saved me $1,200 compared to the other quote I received. I really appreciate the fast, professional service and would definitely recommend them!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Like that of so many other reviewers, our experience with Floros Plumbing and Heating was exemplary. Petros responded quickly to our inquiries and fixed a list of plumbing issues, minor and major, that had plagued us for years. His experience is impressive, his advice is very helpful, and his prices are fair. Thank you for the terrific work, Petros - you're a rock star!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently had my 75-gallon gas water heater replaced, and the experience was excellent from start to finish.

Petros Floros and team were professional, punctual, and clearly knowledgeable. They walked me through the process, answered questions thoroughly, and completed the installation efficiently with minimal disruption. The work was clean, well-organized, and met all expectations for a proper installation, including attention to safety and code requirements.

I was most pleased by the use of text messaging and sharing photos of the potential work site. This helped Mr. Floros prepare an accurate price estimate for the work and ensure there would be no problems or delays in installing the hot water heater. Such communication made it convenient and easy for me to arrange the work.

The new 75-gallon gas hot water heater is performing exactly as expected, and the entire process—from quote to completion—was handled with transparency and professionalism.

I would not hesitate to recommend this company for water heater replacement or similar plumbing work.

Friendly, amazingly knowledgeable and was at my home within an hour of calling him because of a no heat issue early on a Saturday morning. Diagnosed the issue immediately and had the replacement parts in his truck. Heat was back on in less than an hour (circulation pump replacement). Highly recommended.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We came home late from work to discover our hot water heater broke and flooded the basement. Petros was a lifesaver! He arrived 10min after I called, fixed the immediate issue and set up our wet vac for us. The next day he was back with a new hot water heater. He explained what he was doing throughout and gave a fair price. He was also just a genuinely nice guy. Can’t recommend him enough!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Can't say enough good things about Petros! Last March on a random Saturday our leak detector went off on our tank water heater. Temperature was freezing outside and I had young children at home. I scrambled to find on Google a plumber who could provide emergency services and Petros responded right away. He gave me a good quote, went to a supplier to find the tank I needed, and came to install it. Everything was done within the day and we had hot water to bath the kids!! He was very professional and efficient.

Couple days ago, a week before Christmas, my parents' house had a leak from their tank, plus a shower faucet that was not letting out cold water. After going back and forth with a local handyman who was to repair but then suggested that we replace the tank entirely, I reached out to Petros again late in the evening in desperation. From just couple photos, he identified the problems, got the parts and fixed everything the next day. Aside from being amazed by his skills, I was really moved as he drove more than an hour from his last job to us just so we could have hot water and shower during the holidays. We are located far from his general service area but he went out of his way to help us. I would highly recommend him if you are in towns close to Melrose!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 12/8/25 update: Petros continues to be an absolutely amazing plumber to work with. My family was recently staying at a rental home while we were having construction done at our place and there was a massive leak with the homeowner’s refrigerator. Petros came out immediately, even though he had an injured back and he helped me to diagnose the problem, stop a water leak and save the homeowner thousands of dollars in water remediation repairs. I can’t recommend Petros highly enough. He’s an absolutely amazing professional.

This guy is amazing. It’s people like him that keep our communities up and running.

Petros is responsive, reliable, and fairly priced. If anything, he’s so good that he’s not charging enough.

He’s also incredibly knowledgeable in his field, good with kids, and a nice guy. I’d recommend him without hesitation.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. When we had an emergency plumbing issue recently, I asked my friends for suggestions. We are so thankful to get recommended you guys. It was really stressful to have problem late at night. We called other places that can't schedule anyone over for days. You promptly answered our call and came in bright and early next morning to fix. Very professional and efficient. We'll be recommending you guys to all our friends too.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Petros was very responsive and it was great to meet him. We had trouble with our water pipe leading to a bathroom toilet. It had flooded and we were without water. He promptly came over early the next morning and was able to fix the pipe quickly. I had a great conversation with him sharing life some life stories.
